After the program I was asked if I would be interested in coming back. ‘To do what?’ I asked. ‘To tell stories,’ I was told. I thought about it for a few days, thought about what radio is, thought about what NPR is and what it stands for…and decided that I would be interested…but only if I could tell other people’s stories and not just my own.
